Hunger Royale Beta Weekend Event Finale was officially the most fun I’ve had yet in Guild Wars 2. …mostly because I’m a pretty huge Hunger Games fan and the nods to it made me fangirl (it was also referencing Battle Royale but my mind spent the entire time going just going hungergameshungergameshungergames). 

I wish this was something they were adding into the live game and not just the beta finale. :3

I want to give some props to ArenaNet today. I think they’ve done something very admirable by having a race (especially one as highly anticipated as the Sylvari) in Guild Wars 2 that practices both heterosexual and homosexual relationships. Thank you, ArenaNet, for presenting the first gay relationship I encountered in Guild Wars 2 as normal, natural, and perfectly accepted without question – just like it should be in our daily life outside of Tyria.

From the Guild Wars 2 Wiki, “Romance and sex is practiced among the sylvari, disregarding gender between those involved. To a sylvari, love is about inspiration, and it has nothing at all to do with the physical form.”

The best part of rolling Sylvari are the planties. And everyone loading in wearing nothing but their planties.
