Oh man I’m going to take this opportunity to raaaaaant. YEP YOU’RE RIGHT. I RETURNED HOME TO NO INTERNET.
Basically I got home and my internet was dead and I had some letters from AT&T saying that they discontinued DSL service in my county. Just like. No more DSL anymore. Poof. Gone.
The thing is I knew there was A Thing happening to the internet (a “change in service”) and I was pretty damn sure the first letter they sent said that if I didn’t take any action I would just be put on the lowest possible plan of the new service automatically. Then I went out of town for over two months and they sent a few more letters going ACTUALLY CUTTING YOUR SERVICE OFF IN JANUARY :D :D :D but I wasn’t here to receive them. Granted I might have read the first letter wrong, too.
So I called up AT&T and they’re giving me whatever the new service is but the soonest they can send a tech out is Thursday. He’ll bring the new equipment - if I waited for it to get shipped to me it would be two weeks. :| Sooooooooo internet-free until Thursday. fufufufufu
Right now I’m actually at my mom’s house and I’m going to go over to Sashi’s in a few minutes and spend the next two days there getting some work done I need the internet for. :| Mom’s internet is actually too slow to do what I need to do - 1 meg down and .4 up DDD:
The good news is that my new internet will be twice as fast! The bad news is my upload speed will be the same as ever (with no option to upgrade) so I still can’t stream games here. T_T
